Ferrosan Medical Devices complies with all laws, rules, regulations and practices concerning labor and employment in the countries where we operate.

Ferrosan Medical Devices is aware of our responsibility to comply with labor rights across our entire business and to ensure that our partners do so as well.

Scope

Labor rights cover the legal and human rights concerning the relationship between employees and employers. The labor rights policies expressed in this document cover all Ferrosan Medical Devices employees and all people who take part in the development, manufacturing, selling and support of Ferrosan Medical Devices products and services.

This policy covers Ferrosan Medical Devices and associated companies, affiliates of Ferrosan Medical Devices or any entity that is directly or indirectly controlled by Ferrosan Medical Devices regardless of geographical location.

Position

Ferrosan Medical Devices strives to create good, healthy, safe and attractive working conditions for all our employees. At Ferrosan Medical Devices employees have the right to a healthy and safe working environment. Consequently, all Ferrosan Medical Devices employees are trained according to the tasks they perform, and all employees use appropriate protective gear.

It is essential to Ferrosan Medical Devices that we and our partners adhere to all relevant labor rights, including laws, rules, regulations and practices, in the countries where we operate.

Ferrosan Medical Devices makes sure to:

  • Respect the right to collective bargaining and freedom of association according to the laws and practices of the countries we operate in
  • Prohibit use of forced or compulsory labor in any parts of our business
  • Prohibit use of any form of child labor in any parts of our business and operations
  • Support a culture of inclusion, dignity and respect, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, religion, sexual orientation, political views, age, nationality, disability or physical appearance
  • Maintain a work environment without any kind of discrimination across all matters of employment and occupation, including hiring, placement, promotion, compensation and training
  • Not tolerate any kind of abuse or harassment whether direct or indirect, physical or psychological, verbal or non-verbal.

Ferrosan Medical Devices’ policy on labor rights is reflected in all new and re-evaluated agreements with our suppliers as of August 2021.

In line with the above positions, Ferrosan Medical Devices supports the four labor principles of the UN Global Compact

The effective abolition of child labor

Discrimination and harassment are prohibited whether it happens inside Ferrosan Medical Devices’ premises or outside, including but not limited to work-related social events, education or conferences.

Definitions

Discrimination is treating a person or a group of people differently or unjustly on the basis of gender, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, political views, age, nationality, disability, physical appearance or the like.

Harassment is any act or instance of harassing a person or a group, including but not limited to psychological harassment, physical harassment, discriminatory harassment and sexual harassment. Harassment is any conduct or behavior that demeans, humiliates, or embarrasses a person or a group. Harassment can be, but is not limited to, physical conduct, verbal conduct and non-verbal conduct.

Sexual harassment means unwanted conduct or behavior of a sexual nature which offends, humiliates and/or intimidates a person or a group. Conduct or behavior which constitutes sexual harassment include, but are not limited to physical conduct, verbal conduct and non-verbal conduct.

Position

Ferrosan Medical Devices is committed to promoting and upholding a workplace free from any kind of discrimination and harassment. Ferrosan Medical Devices expects all employees to behave with social sensitivity and understanding in respect of the differences between our people and our partners.

Ferrosan Medical Devices does not tolerate harassment or discrimination in any form. Whether physical or psychological, direct or indirect, verbal or non-verbal. Everyone at Ferrosan Medical Devices must respect and foster diversity.

Allegations of harassment or discrimination are taken seriously and thoroughly investigated, with respect and consideration for the involved parties. As much as possible, investigations are treated confidentially, and all parties involved must adhere to such principles of confidentiality.

Ferrosan Medical Devices will take prompt and appropriate action if it is found that harassment or discrimination has occurred.

Any Ferrosan Medical Devices employee considered to have discriminated or harassed another person, including a third party, will be subject to appropriate sanctioning. Sanctioning will depend on the nature and degree of the harassment or discrimination. Sanctioning can impact employment.
