SURGIFLO® Hemostatic Matrix – 2991

SURGIFLO® Hemostatic Matrix is intended for haemostatic use by applying to a bleeding surface.

The Flowable Gelatin Matrix provides an environment for platelets to adhere and aggregate within, building on the patient’s natural coagulation cascade. The Flowable Gelatin Matrix is made of porcine gelatin.

 

SURGIFLO® Hemostatic Matrix following mixing, of the Flowable Gelatin Matrix with 2 ml of sterile saline, or 2 ml of sterile thrombin solution contains a volume of minimum 8 ml.

   

Indication:

SURGIFLO® Hemostatic Matrix, mixed with sterile saline or thrombin solution, is indicated in surgical procedures (other than ophthalmic) as an adjunct to hemostasis when control of bleeding by ligature or other conventional methods is ineffective or impractical.
